So Long and Goodnight
Well, I guess I've learned a lot after spending almost a whole year dancing in strip clubs.
I've learned that men love to look at women, an, hey, so do I! It's not so much objectification as appreciation. I'm more comfortable in my own skin, as a sexual human being.
I've learned that men are lonely and need company. I've also learned that men are horny and some think strippers can be treated differently than a woman on the streets. I guess women in the sex industry are expected to be loose.
I've learned that many strippers are loose. They are exactly the stereotype that I hate. They do coke, they have sex with strangers, they drink too much, they're a little crazy.
I've learned that many strippers are smart, going to school, in long-term, serious relationships, don't drink, healthy girls.
There are mothers and students. Girls in who just turned 18 and women in their late 30s. Girls with fake tits, girls with small tits. Girls who look like a covergirl and girls who "have great personalities." Girls who read
The Economist and girls who think reading
Cosmo from cover to cover makes them literary. Girls who want to dance for life and girls just trying to make some quick cash. Skinny girls, pregnant girls. Girls who thrive on attention, girls who suffer from stage fright.
But we're all a little crazy, every last one of us.
